London & Partners scoops coveted campaign award at the Brand Republic Digital Awards

The Mayor’s official promotional company, London & Partners has won the Leisure & Sport award for its most legendary tourism campaign yet, London’s Official Guest of Honour – which delivered an estimated £16m of value to London’s economy.

The 2015 campaign, which followed the journey of Adaeze Uyanwah as she experienced a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the capital, was created by The Brooklyn Brothers and beat campaigns from brands including adidas, Land Rover and Southampton FC, to take home the top prize in the Leisure & Sport category.

The Brand Republic Digital Awards have been running for 18 years, and champions those brands and agencies setting new standards across the digital communications industry. The Leisure and Sport category covers travel and leisure activities, holiday services, destinations and operators, as well as sport and leisure pursuits.

Chris Gottlieb, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at London & Partners said: “This is a fantastic achievement, not only for the team here, but for the Brooklyn Brothers, our dedicated partners across London and those celebrities and individuals who pulled together to promote our great city – it was a huge collaborative effort.

“Our job with these campaigns is to drive visitors to London, and last year saw a record-breaking 31.5 million visits from Great Britain and the rest of the world. We are proud to have put London on the world stage in an unexpected way – through the eyes of a very deserving and authentic individual.”
