Bringing Indo-Chinese food from Kolkata to London, Soho’s much-loved restaurant Fatt Pundit takes diners on a journey to discover the traditions of ‘Hakka’ food, a creation of the Chinese diaspora in India. Much of the menu is vegan year-round, including Bombay chilli mock chicken with celery, Szechuan chilly and mixed peppers, sticky sesame vegetable with sticky ginger glaze and popcorn cauliflower smoked with soya garlic dips.

Pizza Pilgrims, the beloved pizza brand known for their Neapolitan pizza, has partnered with LA vegan pizza punks, Hot Tongue Pizza, for their Veganuary guest special. The result is the Arugula-la-land pizza, covered with sweet Californian Sungold tomatoes and the famous Hot Tongue “Drip”, a creamy cashew sauce infused with zesty lemon and nutritional yeast. Sunshine on a plate, it promises to transport taste buds to the shores of California.

The Aubrey is kick-starting the year with a mushroom-only menu running throughout January, including geometric squares of a Portobello and mushroom duexelles sando, Mushroom gyoza, Robata Maitake mushrooms and Shimeji tempura mushrooms. With the exception of the Truffle Croquette, the menu is entirely vegan, including the Mushroom Fried rice which can be de-egged. Plus, some dishes will end up staying on the menu permanently according to popularity.

Inspired by the Puglian city of Lecce, Capilungo is a brand new café and wine bar in Covent Garden, which has put an end to these woes. Launched in December, its menu features a scrumptious pistachio hot chocolate, filled with pistachio cream and a thick blend of vegan white chocolate. A delicious dessert, or the ultimate afternoon treat.
